Cantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano is a perfect balance of fruity notes, freshness, and flavor and is a classy version of a typical Abruzzo wine. Soft grape pressing, submerged-cap maceration with controlled temperature fermentation, and first racking when set parameters are reached.
Cantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano is allowed to mature first in stainless steel tanks and then, for about four months, in barrels of Slavonian oak before bottling. After bottling, the wine is allowed to rest for some time and is then released during the second year from the vintage date.
Cantina Zaccagnini Montepulciano will evolve and gain complexity over a period of about three years. Each bottle in this line wears a small piece of the Tralcetto – grapevine cutting – around its neck to hold the connection between the wine and the land.
